What can be done to increase the number of tourists to Yamanashi Prefecture, which has declined due to the effects of the coronavirus?<\/p>\n
There is something called “Universal Design.” Universal Design is a design concept which seeks to create environments that can be used by people independently and naturally regardless of their disabilities. This allows people with disabilities to live freely and comfortably. However, Yamanashi does not have a “barrier-free\u201d consultation desk where people can ask about this type of design or how to use it while traveling.<\/p>\n
With Yamanashi’s population declining, the benefits of tourism are growing to the point that it is no longer possible to ignore them. In order to not miss this opportunity to spread the word about Yamanashi, I feel that we should implement universal design and places to talk about it in order to connect with people with disabilities. By doing this, Yamanashi will become famous for being kind to people with disabilities and more of them will choose to visit here.
